Senior Structural Designer role based in Dubai, UAE.
Permanent position requiring consultancy experience and specific experience designing school or educational facility projects.
Lead structural design of complex RCC and steel structures from concept through detailed design and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Lead design of RCC and steel buildings from concept to detailed design; develop concept, schematic, and detailed design solutions.
- Perform structural analysis and modeling using ETABS, SAFE, and SAP2000; use Revit for BIM modeling and coordination.
- Prepare and review calculations, reports, and technical documentation; ensure compliance with ACI, BS, and local authority regulations.
- Design and model foundations, slabs, beams, columns, and lateral-load systems.
- Perform response-spectrum and time-history analysis for seismic and wind loading; evaluate stability, drift, and vibration performance.
- Apply seismic design principles under relevant codes, including ACI and ASCE 7; optimize designs for safety, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with architecture and MEP teams; review shop drawings and technical submissions for design compliance.
- Provide technical support for design coordination and authority submissions; lead, review, and guide junior engineers’ design work.
Requirements and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

- Mandatory design consultancy background and experience designing school or educational facility projects.
- Strong expertise in complex building structures; large-scale project experience is preferred.

- Full design-cycle experience from concept to IFC; ability to work independently and lead design packages.
