Role purpose
Supervise store staff and perform warehouse section functions to handle goods and services for EGA departments in line with departmental objectives.
Warehouse activities
- Ensure warehouse procedures are followed and EHS policies are adhered to.
- Plan and allocate work to store staff; maintain housekeeping and keep mobile, lifting, and other warehouse equipment in good working order.
- Record issues in SAP using barcode scanners.
- Ensure receiving staff accept goods that meet required specifications and descriptions.
- Ensure issuing staff dispatch the right items in the right quantity, quality, and time, optimizing issues and site deliveries.
Materials and inventory
- Ensure received items are barcode-labelled and placed in correctly labelled bins.
- Conduct physical stocktaking through cycle counts and maintain warehouse stock items.
- Accurately record and monitor receipts in SAP using barcode scanners.
- Prepare gate passes for dispatching goods and equipment to local and overseas destinations.
Qualifications and experience
- A diploma in a relevant area is required.
- At least 2 years of experience as store staff is required.
Skills and systems
- Knowledge and skills in warehouse tools and equipment, including SAP systems and barcode systems.
- Knowledge of SAP and MS Windows, barcode systems, hand-held terminals, and scanners.
Safety
- Comply with relevant EHS management policies, procedures, and controls to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.
