Senior Software Engineering Lead - React UI Automation

• Develop applications and scalable backend microservices using modern UI frameworks within established architectural guidelines.
• Design, implement, test, and troubleshoot software components and features for quality, performance, and reliability.
• Develop micro-products and services using React or Next.js for frontend and Spring Boot or Python for backend.
• Contribute to AI-enabled features, including generative AI and agent-based workflows; develop in-depth system and product knowledge.
• Build and enhance user interfaces; optimize MS SQL queries and stored procedures and work with GraphQL APIs.

Quality engineering and delivery

• Collaborate with Agile/Scrum teams, participate in code reviews, and deliver features in iterative release cycles.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and build, deployment, and automation efforts for cloud-native applications.
• Build and execute automated UI, backend, and API tests in a TDD setup and manage test data.
• Report test results using metrics tools such as Sonar; improve automation strategy, frameworks, data collection, coding standards, and object repositories.
• Mentor Automation QA testers and Quality engineers, document testing framework use, partner with product owners and developers, research delivery tools, and assist with DevOps support.
• The role includes compliance with company policies and may involve reassignment to different work locations, teams, shifts, or work arrangements.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on application development, with practical exposure to React-based UI, Java/Spring Boot microservices, and API-driven architectures.
• Experience contributing reusable backend services or shared components used by more than one application or team.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar; defining and reporting Quality Engineering metrics; and leading and mentoring Quality engineers.
• Understanding of secure, reliable, scalable systems, including authentication and authorization, performance, logging and monitoring, and production support.
• Practical exposure to applying AI/ML or NLP concepts to real-world problems, under guidance from senior engineers.
• Experience with API automation using Postman, Rest Assured, Karate, or similar; cross-browser automation using Sauce Labs, BrowserStack, or similar; and BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow.
