Senior Software Engineer, Platform/Backend

About The Opportunity

Technologies

• Technologies include Golang, Python, PostgreSQL on RDS, OpenSearch, Docker, and AWS services including Lambda and Cognito.

Responsibilities

• Own a large section of the codebase.
• Lead technical direction and guide the team according to project goals and industry practices.
• Design and build API-based decisioning products.
• Code, test, debug, document, and maintain products and platform services.
• Partner with product management to drive Agile delivery of existing and new products.
• Write unit, dependency, integration, and end-to-end automated tests.
• Troubleshoot and resolve product issues.
• Ensure platform and services meet SLA requirements and participate in production on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience building enterprise or consumer-facing products.
• Experience building API-based products using Python, Golang, or similar technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with RDBMS such as PostgreSQL and efficient query design.
• Familiarity with Docker, AWS technologies, fintech or financial services, and Scrum or Agile development.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in and live in the United States.

Compensation

• Base salary range is $170,000 to $230,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.
• Actual base salary depends on experience, skills, and qualifications.
