Role overview

Responsibilities

• Extend high-scale ingestion pipelines to support new and advanced data objects.
• Optimize performance and cost.
• Own complex backend systems that enable Braze's product offering.
• Build new Core Objects systems and features.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
• Experienced technical leader with a strong understanding of design, data structures, and algorithms.
• Self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills and experience working in a team.

Bonus qualifications

• Professional experience building software at scale.
• Experience with one or more of Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, Go, SQL, NoSQL databases, distributed systems, or API design, monitoring, and best practices.
• Experience with agile processes and passion for customer experience.

Compensation

• For candidates based in Canada, base pay is expected to be CA$153,815–CA$277,431 per year.
• Expected on-target earnings are CA$172,000–CA$308,400 per year, including bonus or commission; offers vary based on individualized factors.
• The role qualifies for equity grants of restricted stock units.
