Responsibilities

• Act as the WWTP subject matter expert across programme assets, providing leadership from design through handover.
• Review wastewater process designs covering biological and tertiary treatment, sludge handling, odour control, and TSE reuse.
• Assure consultant and contractor deliverables against project requirements, regulations, and international best practices.
• Advise on treatment technologies, including MBR, MBBR, SBR, activated sludge, and wastewater reuse solutions.
• Support technical risk management and resolution of complex engineering issues.
• Oversee construction quality, testing, commissioning, and performance validation.
• Coordinate project stakeholders to integrate WWTP assets with the wider development.
• Review technical submittals, method statements, RFIs, commissioning plans, and handover documents.
• Support O&M strategy, operator training requirements, operational readiness, and asset handover.

Qualifications and experience

• Degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or Water Engineering.
• Significant experience delivering wastewater and water infrastructure projects.
• Proven expertise in design, delivery, commissioning, and operation of large-scale WWTP facilities.
• Strong knowledge of wastewater treatment, TSE reuse, sludge management, and utility integration.
• Experience in PMC, Client, Delivery Partner, or Programme Management environments on major infrastructure programmes.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence and collaborate across complex teams.
• Meet applicable Saudi visa criteria and have relevant high-value project/programme experience with a project management consultancy for immigration and client approval.
