Essential Requirements
- 5–10 years in security operations, SIEM engineering, or a related cybersecurity role.
- Hands-on IBM QRadar deployment and configuration, including DSMs, custom properties, rules, reference data, and apps.
- Hands-on Microsoft Sentinel experience with workspace design, connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, and automation.
- Strong KQL and working knowledge of AQL; practical SOAR playbook and security automation experience.
- Understanding of log sources, parsing, normalization, and pipelines using Syslog, CEF, AMA, DCRs, and APIs.
- Knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and detection engineering; working knowledge of Azure, Defender XDR, and Entra ID.
- PowerShell and/or Python scripting ability.
Highly Desirable
- SIEM migration experience, particularly QRadar to Microsoft Sentinel.
- Banking or financial services experience and familiarity with CBUAE, PCI DSS, or SWIFT CSP security monitoring expectations.
- Experience in large, regulated, or 24x7 SOC environments.
- Infrastructure-as-code for Sentinel deployment using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform, and CI/CD for detection content.
- Experience integrating threat intelligence platforms and EDR tools.
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate (SC-200).
- IBM Certified QRadar SIEM Administrator or Deployment Professional.
- Relevant GIAC certifications such as GCIA, GCIH, or GCDA; CISSP or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure IBM QRadar, including DSMs, custom properties, rules, reference data, and apps.
- Design and configure Microsoft Sentinel workspaces, data connectors, analytics rules, workbooks, and automation.
- Build SOAR playbooks and security automation.
- Work with security log sources, parsing, normalization, and data pipelines.
- Apply detection engineering principles and the MITRE ATT&CK framework to security monitoring.
