About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Security Engineer to own security across Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and our broader enterprise environment.
You'll architect and implement security controls, lead detection and incident response, and partner across teams to strengthen our overall security posture.
Responsibilities
- Secure Azure environments: Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure Policy, network controls, Key Vault, and workload hardening
- Manage identity security with Microsoft Entra ID: Conditional Access, PIM, MFA, and identity governance
- Administer the Microsoft Defender XDR suite (Office 365, Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps) and Microsoft Purview (DLP, sensitivity labels, compliance)
- Build and tune detections, hunt threats, and automate response in Microsoft Sentinel
- Lead security incident investigation and response, including root cause analysis
- Run vulnerability management: scanning, prioritization, and remediation tracking
- Contribute to security policies and standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and support audits and risk assessments
- Mentor junior team members and champion security awareness
Requirements
- 8+ years in information security, with 3+ years focused on Azure and Microsoft 365 security
- Deep hands-on expertise with Entra ID, Defender XDR, and Microsoft Sentinel (KQL)
- Strong grasp of cloud security architecture and zero trust principles
- PowerShell scripting and automation skills
- Proven incident response and threat hunting experience
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
