Role purpose
Perform advanced refrigeration and HVAC maintenance across CBRE Excellerate managed facilities.
Focus particularly on DX systems, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF systems, and split units.
Independently diagnose complex faults and support safe, reliable, energy-efficient operation.
Responsibilities and authority
- Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance and support emergency call-outs.
- Diagnose faults, determine corrective actions, and verify system operation after repairs.
- Isolate equipment and stop work if an unsafe condition is identified.
- Recommend component replacements and technical improvements; escalate major failures, refrigerant issues, and operational risks to the Technical Supervisor.
Experience and education
- ITI, diploma, or equivalent technical qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant hands-on refrigeration and HVAC maintenance experience.
- Strong experience with DX units, freezers, cold rooms, VRV/VRF systems, and split units.
- Valid UAE driving licence required; UAE/GCC facilities management experience preferred.
Skills and knowledge
- Advanced refrigeration troubleshooting; brazing, pressure testing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging.
- Electrical/control fault diagnosis and use of HVAC/refrigeration test instruments.
- CAFM/work-order reporting and basic Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of DX refrigeration cycles and controls, cold room and freezer systems, and VRV/VRF and split AC systems.
- Knowledge of refrigerant handling and leak detection, preventive and reactive maintenance, PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements.
