Supports preventive and reactive maintenance of refrigeration and air-conditioning systems across managed facilities.
Works under appropriate supervision while maintaining HSE and service-quality standards.
Responsibilities and authority
- Carry out assigned preventive and reactive work orders within competency level.
- Isolate equipment and report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Identify defective parts and recommend materials for supervisor review.
- Perform basic troubleshooting and functional checks after maintenance.
- Escalate complex faults and refrigerant issues to the Senior Technician or Technical Supervisor.
Experience and education
- ITI, certificate, diploma in refrigeration and air conditioning or HVAC, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in refrigeration/HVAC maintenance.
- Practical exposure to DX units, split units, freezers, and cold rooms; VRV/VRF exposure is preferred.
- Facilities management experience is preferred.
Skills and knowledge
- Routine refrigeration and AC maintenance, basic fault finding, and component replacement.
- Basic brazing, vacuuming, and refrigerant charging; safe use of hand tools and test instruments.
- Knowledge of the refrigeration cycle, DX and split AC, freezers, cold rooms, and basic VRV/VRF principles.
- Knowledge of preventive and reactive maintenance, refrigerant safety, PTW, LOTO, and HSE requirements.
- Work-order/CAFM reporting.
