The role focuses on warehouse, industrial shed, and pre-engineered steel building (PEB) construction.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Estimate civil, structural steel, PEB, cladding, and MEP scopes; analyze tender documents and identify scope risks.
- Source and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations; prepare comparative cost analyses and value engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate bid preparation with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams; support contract negotiations.
- Track relevant material and labor rates and maintain historical cost databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field; minimum five years of estimation experience.
- Proven warehouse, industrial shed, or PEB construction experience and strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates and standard specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as CostX, Candy, or similar.
- Understanding of structural steel, cladding, and warehouse components including loading docks, high-bay racking clearances, and fire systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills; UAE experience is strongly preferred and a UAE driving license is a plus.
Work location
- The position is based in person in Dubai Investment Park 1 (DIP1), Dubai, UAE.
