Senior Quantity Surveyor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings for warehouse and industrial projects.
• Develop cost estimates for civil, structural steel, PEB, cladding, and MEP scopes.
• Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify scope and risks.
• Source and evaluate quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Prepare comparative cost analyses and value engineering recommendations.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams during bid preparation.
• Track material and labour market rates relevant to warehouse construction, including steel structures, roofing and cladding sheets, insulation, flooring, and dock levelers.
• Support contract negotiations with technical and commercial input.
• Maintain historical cost databases to improve future estimating accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of estimation experience with a track record in warehouse, industrial shed, or PEB construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates and standard specifications.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as CostX, Candy, or similar.
• Understanding of structural steel, cladding systems, and warehouse-specific components, including loading docks, high-bay racking clearances, and fire systems.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
• UAE experience is strongly preferred; valid UAE driving licence is a plus.
