Estimating and tender duties
- Prepare quantity take-offs and BOQs from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Estimate civil, structural steel, PEB, cladding, and MEP scopes.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications for scope and risks.
- Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations; prepare comparative cost analyses and value-engineering recommendations.
- Coordinate bid preparation with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams.
- Track material and labor rates for warehouse construction, including steel, roofing and cladding, insulation, flooring, and dock levelers.
- Support contract negotiations with technical and commercial input; maintain historical cost databases.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- At least five years of estimation experience, including a proven record in warehouse, industrial shed, or PEB construction.
- Strong knowledge of UAE construction market rates and standard specifications.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation software such as CostX, Candy, or similar.
- Understand structural steel, cladding, and warehouse components including loading docks, high-bay racking clearances, and fire systems.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- UAE experience is strongly preferred; a valid UAE driving license is a plus.
