Role overview

Lead Aviso’s Advisor Hub product family and directly own Advisor Hub ACP, serving advisors at ACP introducing brokers and portfolio management firms.

Manage and coach three Product Owners; work in a product leadership triad with a Product Designer and Tech Lead.

The role combines hands-on product ownership, people leadership, and championing a customer-centric product model.

Responsibilities

  • Set product direction and measurable outcomes with the Director of Product Management, aligning product areas with customer needs and business priorities.
  • Lead discovery, test assumptions, and coach Product Owners to evaluate customer and business opportunities before committing to solutions.
  • Partner with design and technology leaders to assess options, involve engineers early, and make product trade-offs together.
  • Plan small, testable releases; learn from customer behaviour and measurable outcomes and adapt accordingly.
  • Own and prioritize the assigned product backlog, clarify work for implementation, and support Product Owners with their backlogs.
  • Work with compliance, privacy, operations, marketing, finance, and technology partners to address constraints and dependencies.
  • Coach and develop Product Owners, communicate evidence and results, and advocate for customer-centric product practices.
  • Use investor needs, industry trends, and competitive insights to identify opportunities for improvement.

Experience and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience managing technology-powered products; typically 8+ years of related experience, with equivalent depth and impact considered.
  • Demonstrated understanding of customer-centric product models and modern discovery and delivery, including testing assumptions and measuring outcomes.
  • Experience setting product direction and success measures, prioritizing outcomes, and delivering iterative releases.
  • Strong customer, analytical, and problem-solving skills; ability to combine research, feedback, and product data and communicate trade-offs.
  • Experience partnering with product design, technology leads, and engineers; sufficient technical fluency to understand constraints without owning engineering delivery.
  • People leadership and coaching skills, including developing Product Owners.
  • Business acumen and ability to work across functions; financial services experience is an asset.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder influence; understand end-to-end customer experience and product dependencies.
  • Fluent English communication required; French bilingual skills are an asset.

Benefits

  • Compensation package, health, dental, and insurance benefits; vacation, fitness benefit, parental leave top-up options, and retirement matching.
  • Learning and development support, education assistance, and regular social events.

Salary

  • Expected salary range is CAD $120,000–$135,000 annually.
