Position overview

Autodesk seeks a Senior Product Manager for Interoperability on its Platform Services Product Data team.

The role focuses on data portability across Autodesk products, third-party tools, and cloud collaboration environments for AEC and manufacturing workflows.

The product manager owns interoperability strategy and business cases and works with engineering leaders and architects to scale the platform.

Responsibilities

  • Own vision, strategy, and a multi-year roadmap for the interoperability framework and related data products.
  • Build investment business cases with market sizing, success metrics, and adoption, retention, and revenue impact.
  • Manage relationships across architecture, engineering, product teams, regions, customers, and partners.
  • Guide Product Data strategy and build-versus-buy decisions based on regional market opportunities.
  • Partner on platform and API design, translation quality and fidelity, and technical trade-offs.
  • Prioritize and plan development of methodologies and tools across competing demands.
  • Develop go-to-market plans, product positioning, and packaging; communicate product value and differentiation.
  • Represent the product at customer sites and conferences and engage industry bodies on open standards and data exchange.
  • Use customer feedback and quantitative data to guide decisions; define and track platform KPIs.

Minimum qualifications

  • BS degree in Architecture, Engineering, Computer Science, Business Management, or equivalent.
  • At least eight years in product management or related roles at a SaaS or technology company, including four or more years managing technical platform, API, or cloud products.
  • Technical fluency in data models, APIs, cloud services, and distributed systems.
  • Track record owning platform or developer-product strategy and roadmaps and delivering measurable outcomes.
  • Strong communication, persuasion, prioritization, relationship-building, and organizational skills; able to align teams without direct authority.
  • Able to guide cross-functional teams, manage stakeholders and uncertainty, and understand the global design and make competitive landscape.
  • Exceptional written English; other languages are a plus.
  • Able to collaborate across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones and travel for work when required.

Preferred qualifications

  • AEC or manufacturing software experience and knowledge of related workflows, data, and file formats.
  • Experience with IFC, STEP, JT, or USD standards and formats, data translation or exchange, or interoperability products.
  • Experience with standards bodies, open-standards initiatives, or partner and ecosystem programs.
  • Familiarity with Scrum or Agile, UX fundamentals, and managing multiple projects.

Salary transparency

  • For Canada-based roles, the stated starting base salary range is $122,000 to $179,300; offers depend on experience and geographic location and may exceed the range.
  • Compensation may also include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and benefits.

Work arrangements

  • The role may require in-person onboarding or in-person identity verification.
