We're looking for a Senior Operations Manager to run the day to day of CargoX's last-mile delivery operation across the UAE.
This is a hands-on role: you'll execute the operating model, hit the performance and cost targets, and work closely with our command center, runner network, and commercial teams to keep a fast, reliable service on the road.

What You'll Do
- Run day to day operations across Live Operations, Runner Management, and Operations Excellence to agreed standards and service levels.
- Own delivery of operational KPIs: on-time delivery, delivery success rate, orders per runner per hour, utilization, and cost per delivery.
- Maximize delivery capacity and runner availability across operational zones, balancing demand and supply in real time. Run live-operations execution: command centre monitoring, manual dispatch, live issue resolution, and customer support.
- Own the runner lifecycle: onboarding and training, shift setting, demand/supply balancing, incentive structures, and performance management, including governance of outsourced providers.
- Coordinate inventory management across hubs and operational zones. Implement and enforce SOPs, standards, and continuous-improvement programs across all operational pillars.
- Support the definition and rollout of operational requirements for the in-house technology toolset that runs dispatch, runner management, and customer support.
- Manage vendor performance and SLAs for outsourced runner operations; coordinate day to day across commercial and product teams.
- Manage and develop the operations team; support the playbook to scale the operation and enter new zones. Track, analyze, and report operational performance, risks, and corrective actions to the Operations Director.
Who You Are
- 12+ years in operations, including 3+ years managing teams, ideally in last-mile, q-commerce, food delivery, e-commerce fulfilment, or courier/3PL operations.
- Strong working knowledge of dispatch, live operations, runner/rider management, and last-mile delivery workflows.
- Comfortable interfacing with product and tech teams and translating operational needs into clear requirements.
- Strong commercial and unit-economics acumen; data-driven decision-making.
- Hands-on team leadership, vendor management, and cross-functional coordination.
- Bachelor's degree in operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field; postgraduate qualification (MBA or similar) preferred.
- Proven track record of delivering operational KPIs and managing outsourced providers at scale.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments.
