As CargoX scales its autonomous delivery fleet across the UAE, we're looking for a Senior Director of Public Affairs to lead how we work with government, regulators, and the public.
You'll own the relationships that support CargoX's continued growth engaging the authorities, municipalities, and master developers whose decisions shape where and how our fleet operates.
Your role
will be instrumental in developing the frameworks for autonomous delivery as the category takes form.
This is a senior, strategic role spanning federal policy through to local operating permissions and is essential to our operations in the region
What You'll Do
- Lead CargoX's public affairs strategy across federal and emirate-level government, regulators, and key public stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with the UAE's key transport and innovation authorities, including the RTA (Dubai), ITC (Abu Dhabi), TDRA, and relevant municipal and federal bodies
- Engage on the regulatory frameworks, permits, and licensing that govern autonomous ground delivery, and contribute to shaping them where they are still being defined
- Support the approvals and operating permissions needed to launch and expand the fleet into new zones, communities, and emirates
- Partner with operations, legal, product, and tech teams to ensure external commitments align with what we deliver on the ground
- Represent CargoX at government forums, innovation summits, and industry engagements
- Develop relationships with master developers and community authorities to open new operating environments
- Help shape the public narrative around autonomous delivery, including questions of safety and integration into daily life
- Monitor regulatory developments, competitor positioning, and policy signals, and advise the business accordingly
Who You Are
- Experience in public affairs, government relations, regulatory affairs, or policy, ideally in a regulated or emerging-technology sector
- A track record of securing approvals, contributing to policy, or building government relationships that supported commercial outcomes
- Familiarity with the UAE's transport and innovation authorities - RTA, ITC, TDRA, and the relevant municipal and federal bodies — with relevant relationships or the credibility to build them
- Comfortable working in areas where the regulations are still developing and able to bring clarity and structure to that ambiguity
- Strong executive presence, able to represent CargoX credibly to senior officials and regulators
- Experience across one or more relevant areas, including:
- Transport, mobility, and autonomous systems regulation
- Logistics, supply chain, and last-mile delivery
- Smart cities, urban planning, and master-planned development
- Technology, robotics, or other emerging-tech policy
- Communications, public narrative, and reputation management
- Able to build and align internal teams behind a shared external strategy
