Senior MEP Engineer role based in Dubai, UAE.
The posting describes estimation, technical supervision, cost control, variation management, and team coordination duties.
Responsibilities
- Prepare BOQs, quantity take-offs, and material and labor cost estimates.
- Compare suppliers, prepare quotations, and submit tenders.
- Review drawings and conduct site surveys.
- Plan manpower and material requirements.
- Supervise electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and equipment installations.
- Compare project costs with approved budgets, monitor labor hours, and identify cost overruns.
- Identify work outside the approved scope and prepare variation quotations.
- Obtain client approval for variations before work proceeds.
- Coordinate with estimation, cost control, procurement, and site engineering teams.
- Coordinate with site engineers for project execution and timely delivery.
Skills and work areas
- MEP engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, and equipment installations.
- BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, costing, supplier comparisons, quotations, and tenders.
- Project cost control, budget monitoring, labor-hour tracking, and variation management.
