Join Jacobs at NEOM to provide technical leadership for completion, commissioning, and handover of a major water infrastructure project.
The project is entering its close-out phase, with focus on installed and tested MEP systems, operational readiness, defect resolution, and handover.
Key responsibilities
- Lead MEP completion and close-out across water infrastructure assets and facilities; monitor contractor progress against schedules and milestones.
- Coordinate technical issues, defects, NCRs, RFIs, and punch lists; oversee testing, commissioning, system integration, and performance verification.
- Review commissioning records and completion dossiers; ensure MEP installations comply with specifications, project requirements, and standards.
- Coordinate handover of as-built documentation, asset registers, O&M manuals, training records, and warranty documentation.
- Serve as the technical interface among contractors, consultants, operations teams, and clients; support inspections, readiness reviews, and acceptance.
- Promote safety and compliance with project procedures, regulatory requirements, and HSE standards.
Experience and qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of MEP engineering experience on major infrastructure, utilities, water, wastewater, industrial, or construction projects.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, utility, pumping, water treatment, power distribution, HVAC, fire protection, testing, commissioning, and handover.
- Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, BIM platforms, document management systems, and digital project delivery.
- Experience in contractor management, project delivery, change and risk management, commissioning coordination, and project close-out.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Leadership, stakeholder management, communication, problem solving, decision making, collaboration, and mentoring capabilities.
