The role supports wastewater network projects and modeling frameworks.
The description identifies the opportunity as a Lead Wastewater Modeler.
Responsibilities
- Build and verify network models and assess wastewater system performance.
- Develop modeled solutions for network improvements, development impacts, sewer flooding, and unsatisfactory overflows.
- Guide junior modeling staff and plan surveys and field investigations.
- Coordinate project work, prepare reports and cost estimates, and support technical solution delivery.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and consultants while promoting health and safety.
Requirements
- A Civil Engineering degree or similar relevant degree.
- 8–20 years of wastewater modeling experience and water-industry experience focused on wastewater networks.
- Working knowledge of GIS tools, including MapInfo or ArcGIS.
- Experience with InfoNet and InfoWorks CS / ICM, model build and verification, survey supervision, and design optioneering.
- Experience in wastewater scheme, sewage pumping system, and treatment facility outline design.
- Ability to lead modeling frameworks independently, communicate with clients, and guide modeling staff.
