The BIM Structural Modeler provides drafting support on technically challenging multidisciplinary projects.
The role creates 2D drawings and 3D models and is accountable for the technical quality of its work and compliance with project objectives and quality standards.
Experience and qualifications
- Experience preparing minimum LOD 300 Revit documentation in 3D and 2D.
- Experience producing general arrangement, composite steel, structural steel, and reinforcement drawings, including reinforcement detailing.
- International project experience is required; precast experience is an advantage.
- BIM management experience is preferred.
- Able to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed drawings, 2D drawings, and 3D models for a range of projects.
- Support, mentor, and train drafting team members on complex tasks.
- Coordinate with project managers and engineers on BIM documentation and drafting.
- Deliver technically correct drawings and documents on time and in compliance with project standards.
- Liaise with architecture, MEP, and other disciplines.
- Use Revit Architecture and Revit MEP for model coordination and Navisworks for model checking.
- Apply BIM practices to modelling, scheduling, multidimensional coordination and documentation, project setup, execution, and monitoring.
- Follow company policies and procedures and maintain professional discipline and work ethics.
Technical knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of building structural elements.
- Hands-on BIM modelling, scheduling, multidimensional coordination, and documentation experience.
Work arrangement
- Jacobs uses a hybrid working policy, splitting the work week between offices or projects and remote locations.
