The role is office-based and delivers compliant designs for water and wastewater systems.
Key responsibilities
- Lead design of water distribution, irrigation, stormwater drainage, and sewage collection networks.
- Oversee mechanical design of sewage treatment plants and stormwater or sewage lifting stations.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, layouts, design reports, and material specifications.
- Develop bills of quantities, equipment schedules, and design calculations.
- Coordinate with civil, electrical, and structural teams for integrated design.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi authority requirements, including SBC, NWC, RC, and MOMRA, and international standards.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and CAD designers.
- Participate in design reviews and client meetings to present and defend design choices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred.
- At least 12 years of wet utilities design experience, focused on sewage treatment plants and pumping or lifting stations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems for water and wastewater infrastructure.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and detailed design documentation.
- Familiarity with Saudi authority processes and design standards.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and communication skills.
