The employer is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (BIM) to contribute to ongoing projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 10 years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of UAE experience, including 5 years in Abu Dhabi.
- Healthcare project experience and BIM project experience are preferred.
- Proficiency in Carrier HAP, AutoCAD and Revit is required; IES-VE, DesignBuilder or ELITE software is preferred.
Design and delivery duties
- Develop mechanical design from concept design through schematic design and design development.
- Prepare automated IFC submissions, including BOQ and specification generation, for HVAC, plumbing, gases and firefighting systems.
- Provide site technical support for RFIs and submittals.
- Orchestrate technical workflows and chair layout coordination meetings with sub-consultants using Revit/BIM 360 and legacy 2D CAD systems.
- Healthcare project knowledge mentioned includes Abu Dhabi DOH and HTM guidelines, ASHRAE 170, critical-space pressure regimes and medical gas pipeline systems. This experience is described as preferred.
Compensation
- Pay is AED 10,000–15,000 per month.
