The team focuses on efficiency, reliability, and environmental responsibility to support Red Sea Global's commitment to sustainability, operational excellence, and local value creation.
Job Purpose
Lead the strategy, selection, design, implementation, integration, launch, and ongoing operation of RSCTC's B2B and B2C digital marketplaces across web and mobile channels.
Own the marketplace technology roadmap and lead internal teams and delivery partners to translate business, customer, and supplier needs into reliable, secure, and scalable capabilities.
Ensure integration with SAP S/4HANA and other enterprise systems across catalog, pricing, inventory, ordering, fulfillment, payments, invoicing, and returns.
Strategy and Platform Architecture
- Own the B2B and B2C marketplace strategy, product roadmap, and prioritized backlog.
- Translate business priorities into phased releases, business cases, delivery plans, resource needs, dependencies, and measurable outcomes.
- Lead discovery, process mapping, platform evaluation, RFP inputs, and build-versus-buy recommendations.
- Establish the solution architecture with Corporate Technology, covering storefronts, mobile applications, seller services, order management, data, APIs, security, scalability, and total cost of ownership.
Customer and Seller Capabilities
- Deliver company and branch account structures, user roles, purchasing approvals, customer-specific catalogs and contract pricing, quotations, minimum quantities, pack sizes, bulk uploads, repeat orders, and purchase-order references.
- Enable credit-limit and payment-term controls, order and invoice visibility, statements, and self-service returns in alignment with Finance and commercial policies.
- Deliver responsive websites and mobile applications covering registration and guest checkout, search, product discovery, cart, checkout, promotions, loyalty capabilities, and customer notifications.
- Enable local payment options, delivery slots and service areas, order tracking, cancellations, refunds, and customer support, with consistent Arabic and English experiences and accessibility.
- Enable supplier and seller onboarding, verification workflows, portal access, product submission and approval, catalog updates, stock and pricing feeds, order acceptance, fulfillment collaboration, and performance visibility.
- Implement commission rules, settlement reporting, reconciliation, and dispute workflows where applicable to the approved marketplace model.
Order Management and Integration
- Translate operating models into workflows for warehouse-stock, supplier-fulfilled, flow-through, and other approved channels.
- Support availability checks, inventory reservations, order allocation, split orders, partial deliveries, substitutions, backorders, delivery status, returns, and proof of delivery.
- Coordinate with warehouse, transport, customer service, and commercial teams to prevent overselling and maintain accurate customer commitments.
- Establish interface contracts, data ownership, monitoring, alerts, exception queues, controlled retries, and reconciliation.
- Implement duplicate prevention and recovery controls to avoid lost or repeated orders and financial transactions.
- Automate repeatable workflows and define accountable support ownership across internal teams and vendors.
Delivery, Security, and Operations
- Own delivery from discovery and design through configuration, development, data migration, testing, cutover, launch, and stabilization.
- Ensure code quality, documented designs, controlled environments, and deployment pipelines.
- Oversee functional, integration, regression, security, performance, and user acceptance testing; agree business sign-off, rollback criteria, launch readiness, and post-launch support.
- Work with Corporate Technology, Cybersecurity, Legal, and Finance to embed identity and access controls, segregation of duties, audit trails, data protection, payment security, and fraud controls.
- Own marketplace service management, support models, vendor service levels, monitoring, capacity, and incident escalation.
- Establish backup, disaster recovery, continuity, maintenance, and recovery-testing arrangements with Corporate Technology and service providers.
Analytics, Readiness, and Budgets
- Define dashboards and trusted measures for availability, response time, checkout and order success, payment success, integration failures, data accuracy, seller activation, and customer adoption.
- Guide Power BI and Data Lake requirements with data teams; use analysis and controlled experimentation to prioritize improvements, automation, and appropriate AI use cases.
- Lead readiness planning with business owners, including operating procedures, customer and supplier onboarding, training, communications, user guides, and service handover.
- Prepare and manage implementation and operating budgets, forecasts, licenses, contracts, and total cost of ownership.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, delivery quality, service performance, change requests, and contractual acceptance with Procurement and Finance.
- Report progress, risks, spend, service results, and benefits against approved plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in digital commerce, marketplace technology, software delivery, or enterprise platforms, including at least five years leading teams, programs, or platform delivery.
- Proven personal accountability for designing, developing or implementing, launching, and scaling an e-commerce marketplace.
- Experience across B2B and B2C commerce, including customer journeys, supplier or seller workflows, catalog and pricing models, order management, fulfillment, payments, and returns.
- Proven experience leading commerce-to-ERP integrations and understanding end-to-end order-to-cash and financial reconciliation.
- Strong technology leadership with experience managing engineering or implementation teams, product and business stakeholders, platform vendors, and cross-functional delivery dependencies.
- Experience owning platform launch and live operations, including architecture review, testing, releases, service performance, incident management, vendor contracts, and delivery budgets.
- Direct SAP S/4HANA integration delivery involving SD, MM, FI/CO, and relevant API or middleware capabilities is strongly preferred.
- Experience building marketplace capabilities at Amazon, noon, or another established e-commerce marketplace, with demonstrable platform delivery responsibility.
- Experience in supply chain, wholesale distribution, retail, hospitality, or the GCC market; familiarity with Arabic and English digital experiences.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification or recognized product, architecture, delivery, or service-management certification.
Skills

- Marketplace architecture, web and mobile delivery, APIs, middleware, cloud services, scalable design, and enterprise integration.
- B2B customer structures, contract pricing, purchasing approvals and credit terms; B2C checkout, payments, promotions and refunds; seller operating models and settlements.
