Role overview

Infrastructure and service operations

• Set strategy for scalable, resilient, cost-effective, modern infrastructure and high-quality operations.
• Lead infrastructure and support across operating systems, databases, storage, backup, cloud/hybrid, and end-user computing.
• Modernize on-premises and hybrid platforms and manage servers, operating systems, storage, SAN, firmware, backup, and end-user technology lifecycles.
• Keep platforms vendor-supported or N-1 compliant and manage obsolescence and end-of-life risks.
• Maintain availability, operational stability, SLAs, and service-performance targets.
• Govern patching, upgrades, firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, hardening, audit needs, and risk mitigation.
• Lead incidents, problems, changes, capacity, availability, and demand management; provide leadership during major incidents and outages.
• Drive automation, standardization, monitoring, process optimization, operational standards, and service-management practices.
• Manage infrastructure capacity, demand, scalability, and costs across cloud, compute, and storage.
• Manage vendors and service providers against contractual commitments, SLAs, service quality, and commercial objectives.

Resilience, security, and leadership

• Own disaster recovery and business continuity planning, implementation, testing, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure recovery meets RTO, RPO, availability, and business continuity requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and develop technical teams; partner with business stakeholders, IT leadership, cybersecurity, applications, and technology teams.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions and lead critical operational events and DR exercises.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 13–15+ years of IT experience, including at least 5 years in senior infrastructure, systems, cloud operations, or IT operations leadership.
• Experience leading large-scale enterprise, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure and managing Linux, Windows, databases, storage/SAN, backup, and end-user computing.
• Demonstrated DR/BCP planning, implementation, testing, governance, and execution; understanding of RTO/RPO.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of lifecycle management, patching, upgrades, firmware, version control, N-1 compliance, and obsolescence.
• Experience with 24x7 production operations, incident management, SLAs, and service management.
• Knowledge of security controls, vulnerability management, infrastructure hardening, audit compliance, and risk management.
• Experience leading technical teams, managing vendors, and working with senior stakeholders; understanding of ITIL/service-management practices.
• Written and verbal English communication skills are required.

Preferred qualifications

• ITIL 4, Microsoft, Linux, or major cloud-platform certifications are highly desirable.
• Arabic language proficiency is highly preferred.
