Senior Lead Software Engineer in Consumer and Community Banking technology, building secure, stable, scalable products.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction and develop secure production code; review and debug code written by others.
- Drive approved AI-assisted engineering adoption, governance, validation standards, and reusable automation.
- Architect Trust & Security data and integration solutions, roadmaps, and migration paths.
- Design reliable Kafka streaming, data contracts, schema governance, and streaming or batch publishing to analytical platforms.
- Build Java services and pipelines; architect Cassandra and Oracle stores; design REST and GraphQL integrations.
- Improve SDLC automation and engineering outcomes through approved tools and practices.
Required qualifications
- Formal software engineering training or certification and at least five years of applied experience.
- Hands-on system design, application development, testing, and operational stability experience.
- Advanced in one or more of Java, Kafka, Spark, or Flink.
- Production-scale data architecture and solution engineering experience; hands-on Kafka, data platform publishing, Cassandra, Oracle, and Java experience.
- Experience with schema registry, data contracts and governance, REST and GraphQL APIs, and strong SDLC practices.
- Able to work independently, solve problems, and learn quickly.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understands responsible AI engineering, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security; can coach engineers on compliant usage.
Preferred qualifications
- Trust & Security familiarity, including fraud, IAM, device trust, cyber signals, third-party risk, and data loss prevention.
- Stream processing frameworks such as Kafka Streams, Flink, or Spark Streaming; AI/ML concepts and feature store patterns are a plus.
- Cloud-native experience, particularly AWS, and platform modernization experience.
- Experience establishing reuse-first patterns and engineering standards across teams; graph database experience, with TigerGraph preferred.

Compensation
- The posting lists a yearly salary range of USD 175,750–260,000.
