Engineering and automation
- Deliver software solutions across design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
- Build and maintain tools and automation that reduce toil and improve infrastructure stability and reliability.
- Lead approved AI use for RCA, incident and log analysis, pattern discovery, trends, and corrective-action recommendations.
- Apply SDLC tools and approved AI-assisted capabilities to scale automation.
RCA and reliability leadership
- Facilitate evidence-based RCA challenge sessions and validate findings, contributing factors, and causal chains.
- Assess RCA quality and investigate detection, observability, resilience, process, and human-factor issues using blameless accountability.
- Lead communities of practice and drive adoption of leading-edge technologies.
- Govern AI-assisted engineering practices and set validation standards for secure coding, peer review, testing, and reuse.
Required qualifications
- Formal software-engineering training or certification and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience leading enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development and validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- 7+ years supporting or leading service management, major incidents, incident response, and problem investigations.
- Deep technical RCA experience and ability to turn findings into lasting corrective actions.
- Experience in regulated, mission-critical environments with strong governance and operational controls.
Technical expertise
- Advanced knowledge across infrastructure and architecture, including cloud, networking, operating systems, middleware, databases, storage, distributed systems, monitoring, or application architecture.
- Hands-on SRE observability: SLO/SLI design, distributed tracing, telemetry, reliability metrics, error budgets, and AIOps.
- Monitoring tools may include Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Datadog, Prometheus, AppDynamics, Elastic, and OpenTelemetry.
- Advanced programming and automation in Java, Go, or Python, with strong CI/CD and continuous delivery practices.
Preferred experience
- Preferred experience includes observability integrations, SRE principles, Terraform and GitOps, on-premises infrastructure, REST APIs, event-driven integrations, and open-source or engineering-community contributions.
Compensation
- Structured salary is USD 175,750–260,000 yearly; total rewards may also include eligible incentive compensation and benefits.
