About the role

Project planning and delivery

• Define scope, goals, deliverables, project phases, activities, effort, and resource plans; develop detailed plans and baselines.
• Lead the full project lifecycle and coordinate internal teams, consultants, contractors, and vendors to deliver within approved scope, schedule, and budget.
• Monitor deliverable quality and coordinate delivery across Group IT teams.

Monitoring, governance, and risk

• Track project metrics, KPIs, quality measures, defects, and fixes through SIT and UAT; manage critical paths, dependencies, and RAID risks.
• Monitor budget utilization against plan; establish communication plans and lead standups, Project Board meetings, and Steering Committees.
• Prepare PMO progress and highlight reports and MIS; present project status to business owners and senior stakeholders.
• Follow bank governance, PMO, and QMS standards; manage scope changes and contingency plans and ensure relevant Legal, Audit, Risk, and Central Bank compliance.
• Resolve team conflicts, organize business and technology workshops, monitor timesheets, manage contractor renewals, and build a high-performing team.

Mandatory requirements

• At least 12 years of overall IT experience and at least 8 years holding an IT Project Manager or Senior Project Manager title.
• At least 2 years delivering IT projects inside a bank or financial institution.
• Valid PMP or PRINCE2 Practitioner certification; proven delivery using both Waterfall and Agile.
• Direct project budget ownership and cost and budget analysis experience; experience running Steering Committee and Project Board meetings.
• Hands-on MS Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office experience.
• Degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred experience

• Digital, mobile, or internet banking delivery; UAE Central Bank regulatory projects; Clarity PPM; core banking, payments, or integration programmes; vendor and contractor team management.
