Senior Internal Auditor

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Develop audit approaches and testing strategies that evaluate key business risks and controls.
• Coordinate and participate in completion of audit test procedures.
• Communicate audit findings from reviews.
• Review and approve workpaper documentation to ensure it supports the audit work performed.
• Present process and control deficiencies to management and recommend corrective actions and operational improvements.
• Prepare initial audit report drafts with clear, concise root-cause-focused comments.
• Provide supervision to assigned audit staff when applicable.
• Assist external auditors during interim and annual company reviews.

Minimum Work Experience

• 5+ years of audit or SOX experience with a large multinational, financial, or Big 4 firm.
• Prior knowledge and experience with Sarbanes-Oxley 404 testing.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a comparable business degree.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of accounting methods, principles, and financial reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of internal auditing standards and techniques.
• Strong technical, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, including strong Excel and data analysis skills.

Preferred Certifications

• CPA, Chartered Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor, or similar professional certification is preferred.
