Oversees financial reporting and the integrity of accounting ledgers, ensuring financial information is accurately reported to the Finance Director.
Develops strategies from financial research and guides senior executives on short- and long-term business decisions.
Financial leadership and operations
- Oversee financial activities and compliance; lead budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial reporting, and management advice.
- Develop financial policies, procedures, and controls; support department and project financial decisions and resource allocation.
- Manage auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory relationships; oversee financial systems and technology.
- Lead initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and process improvements; assess and mitigate financial risks.
- Mentor finance staff and support HSE initiatives, safety awareness, and incident reporting and resolution.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, public administration, business administration, or a related field.
- Minimum eight years’ work experience, including five years in a relevant supervisory position.
- Two years of GCC experience is a plus.
- ERP knowledge is required; SAP functional skills are preferred.
Knowledge and competencies
- Advanced financial principles, accounting, financial analysis, and financial management knowledge.
- Analytical ability, financial reporting standards and regulatory knowledge, leadership, and communication skills.
- Competencies include resilience, agility, execution, direction-setting, process building, cost optimization, financial control, planning, reporting, and team development.
