Senior Executive Officer/COO : Start-Up Quant Fund : Abu Dhabi

About This Role

Our client, a fast-growing international quantitative investment group, is seeking an experienced Management & Operations Lead to join its Abu Dhabi office and play a key role in scaling the firm’s regional presence and global operating infrastructure.

This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious start-up quant fund at an early stage, working directly alongside the Founder to help build and institutionalise the business across multiple jurisdictions. The successful candidate will take ownership of operational management, regulatory coordination, investor engagement, and strategic business development, while helping establish and grow a high-performing local team in Abu Dhabi.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day management and operational oversight
• Build and manage the firm’s Abu Dhabi-based team and operational infrastructure
• Support and coordinate capital raising initiatives and investor onboarding processes
• Oversee financial reporting and ensure operational transparency across entities
• Manage and maintain relationships with regulators and external service providers, including the FSRA and Cayman-based stakeholders
• Coordinate cross-border operations and governance between affiliated entities, including the Cayman fund structure, US LLC, and Italian entities
• Act as a senior point of contact for investor relations and strategic partnerships
• Work closely with the Founder on long-term growth strategy, market positioning, and business development initiatives
• Help establish institutional-grade processes, controls, and reporting frameworks as the business scales

Candidate Profile:

• 5+ years of management experience within a regulated financial services environment, such as private banking, investment banking, trading, asset management, hedge funds, or broker-dealers
• Strong understanding of financial markets, fund structures, and regulated operating environments
• Experience working with regulators and external counterparties across international jurisdictions
• Commercially minded with the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly with investors and senior executives
• Comfortable building processes and teams from the ground up within a start-up environment
• Prior exposure to hedge funds, quantitative trading firms, or alternative investment platforms is highly advantageous
