Role Overview
The Senior Executive – Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust network infrastructure while ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance of Microsoft 365 services. The role plays a critical part in maintaining system reliability, enhancing security, and supporting business continuity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Security
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure network infrastructure
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and related network devices
- Ensure network performance, availability, and compliance with security standards
- Monitor network systems and proactively address vulnerabilities and risks
Microsoft 365 Administration & Optimization
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive
- Manage users, licenses, permissions, and access controls
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot service-related issues
- Ensure best practices in Microsoft 365 security, governance, and compliance
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for network and Microsoft 365 environments
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, and software issues
- Conduct regular system health checks, audits, and performance tuning
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and technical documentation
- Develop user guides and deliver training sessions for internal stakeholders
- Recommend and implement improvements to enhance system efficiency and reliability
Collaboration & Projects
- Collaborate with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders on IT initiatives
- Support infrastructure and Microsoft 365-related projects and upgrades
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry best practices
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in network engineering and administration
- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 services and administration
- Solid understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- Experience with network security tools, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
- Proficiency in configuring network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, or similar)
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Skills
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- Experience with cloud and hybrid environments (e.g., Azure)
- Knowledge of scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools
