Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Halcon, working on safety-critical real-time software for advanced defence and aerospace systems.
Contribute across the software development lifecycle, from requirements decomposition and architecture through integration, verification, and technical leadership.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain C/C++ embedded software for real-time and safety-critical applications.
- Derive low-level software requirements, architecture, and design from higher-level specifications.
- Perform integration, verification, debugging, and validation, including SIL, HIL, and hardware-software integration testing.
- Participate in technical reviews, prepare engineering documentation, and mentor junior engineers.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of embedded software development experience with strong C/C++ proficiency.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS and/or bare-metal systems, device drivers, and low-level hardware interfaces: SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, and Ethernet.
- Experience with verification, debugging tools, version control such as Git/SVN, and requirements tools such as DOORS or JAMA.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in defence, aerospace, aviation, missile systems, UAVs, or other safety-critical environments.
- Knowledge of MISRA C/C++ and familiarity with DO-178C development and certification processes.
Language
- English proficiency is required for all roles unless otherwise stated in the posting.
