Join Jacobs on the NEOM water assets programme as an Electrical and ICT Commissioning Engineer.
Bridge active construction and plant energization, verifying infrastructure before functional testing, commissioning, and handover to ENOWA.
The role provides contractual leadership across a major programme.
Quality assurance and documentation
- Inspect electrical and ICT installations for compliance with IFC drawings and project specifications.
- Audit cable trays, cabling, switchboards, instrumentation, and related infrastructure.
- Review and approve material submittals, ITPs, method statements, and factory test certificates.
- Manage non-conformance reports, including issuance, monitoring, and closure.
Testing, commissioning, and handover
- Witness, verify, and sign off electrical testing and commissioning.
- Supervise energization and commissioning of low- and medium-voltage equipment, including switchgear, MCCs, and VFDs.
- Oversee instrumentation, controls, and automation testing, including calibration verification, loop checks, telemetry, PLC, and SCADA testing.
- Test and validate digital backbone systems.
- Lead closeout and handover, including punch lists and validation of handover and as-built documentation.
Safety
- Enforce site safety procedures and manage Lock-Out/Tag-Out requirements.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Automation, or Instrumentation Engineering.
- 10+ years of combined Electrical QA/QC inspection and Electrical Testing & Commissioning experience in industrial or infrastructure assets.
- Working knowledge of the Saudi Building Code, MEWA guidelines, and relevant international standards.
- The role is site based.
