Senior embedded software verification role for Halcon, leading and executing verification and DT&E activities.
The role manages requirements, test procedures, traceability, execution, and reporting, and supports software qualification and certification.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage software verification plans, test procedures, test reports, and requirements traceability across product variants.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead embedded software testing and DT&E, including test benches, simulators, resources, and test teams.
- Investigate and resolve test failures, deviations, and verification issues to confirm requirements are verified.
- Prepare and maintain TEMP, VCRMs, and technical documentation.
- Mentor junior verification engineers and provide technical guidance.
Basic qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 8 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years in software DT&E.
- Strong embedded software verification experience, including black-box/white-box testing, requirements management, traceability, and software system/subsystem DT&E.
- Proficiency in C and Python.
- Experience with GIT or SVN and requirements management tools such as Jama.
Preferred qualifications
- DO-178C software certification experience, preferably Level A and particularly in the military or aviation domain.
- Advanced experience with automated verification tools and hardware debugging/test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG debuggers.
- ISTQB certification is an advantage.
