Senior DevOps Engineer – Azure Platform, Terraform & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Role overview

Work arrangement

• Remote for the first two months; the role may then require relocation to Abu Dhabi for an onsite or hybrid engagement.
• Relocation willingness is requested if required. Contract extension depends on project needs, performance, and mutual agreement.

Core responsibilities

• Manage Azure infrastructure, landing zones, environments, standards, governance, and architecture improvements.
• Build reusable Terraform and Bicep infrastructure, automated validation, and version-controlled provisioning.
• Create Azure DevOps multi-stage pipelines, approvals, release controls, and automated application and AI workload deployments.
• Manage Azure networking, identity, secrets, security controls, monitoring, incident response, operational documentation, and cost optimization.
• Review partner solutions, guide engineering teams, and own platform readiness and deployment automation.

Required qualifications

• 6+ years in DevOps, cloud, or platform engineering, including at least 3 years managing Azure production environments.
• Advanced Azure DevOps YAML pipelines and strong Terraform and Azure Bicep experience.
• Experience with enterprise CI/CD, Azure assessments, hub-spoke networking, private endpoints, private DNS, Entra ID, RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vault.
• Experience with Azure application hosting services, PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, monitoring, KQL, Git, and release practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, technical documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications and stack

• Preferred: AZ-400 or AZ-305 certification; deployment automation for Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, or Databricks.
• Preferred: enterprise AI, machine learning, data engineering, Docker, landing zones, cloud governance, vendor reviews, or FinOps experience.
• Technology includes Azure Policy, App Service, Functions, Logic Apps, Container Apps, Key Vault, Entra ID, RBAC, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI, Git, and CI/CD.

Compensation

• Pay is from AED 7,000 per month.
