We are looking for a highly motivated “Senior Contract Manager” for our Abu Dhabi Office.

Duties & Responsibilities

Undertake contract administration responsibilities and functions for projects from acquisition and commencement through completion. Functional scope includes support in tendering and negotiation of contracts, administration of main contracts, subcontracts, supply and service agreements, change orders and claims; particularly including the following:

• Support the Proposal and Business Development departments on the contract related matters, including preparation and negotiation of preliminary and final partnership agreements (i.e. JV’s, Consortia).
• Review client request for proposals (RFP’s), draft and review: subcontracts, supply and service agreements and the correspondence concerning contractual matters,
• Participate in negotiation and finalization of contracts, contract amendments, change orders and claims (including time extension and cost claims),
• Follow up to ensure that company timely fulfils its obligations associated with the contracts, including following up time-barring actions and notification requirements,
• Follow-ups to ensure that confidentiality obligations are fulfilled,
• Assist the Project Team in handling the contractual matters, including claims and defences,
• Keep contemporaneous contractual records, inform and advise the management in order to take necessary contractual actions,
• Identify and advise/warn the Project Management of circumstances that may cause delays and disruptions,
• Support Project Management in quantitative and qualitative evaluation of project risks during the execution phase.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from preferably an engineering department/faculty,
• Minimum 10 years of office/site experience for a similar position in refineries, petrochemical and power plant projects, or EPC contractors,
• Experienced in contracts administration/management practices, including working with international standard forms of Engineering, Procurement and Construction Contracts,
• Advanced computer skills including MS Office applications,
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken,
• Excellent written and verbal communication and persuasive skills,
• Problem solver, analytical thinking, having ability to inquire and research,
• Team player, result-oriented with strong planning, coordination and organization skills,
• Excellent time management skills, attentive to deadlines, rigorous and having ability to elaborate details,
• Being flexible in working hours and having no travel restrictions,
