Full-time, on-site Senior CAD Technician role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Produce and maintain drawings, plans, and technical schematics for business setup projects, facility layouts, and related documentation.
Responsibilities
- Interpret design requirements and translate concepts into accurate technical drawings.
- Coordinate with consultants and internal teams; ensure CAD outputs align with regulatory and client specifications.
- Manage CAD standards and drawing files, and quality-check technical documentation.
- Guide junior team members.
- Work with project managers and legal or technical experts to ensure drawings are complete, compliant, and delivered within deadlines.
Qualifications
- Strong technical support and troubleshooting skills for CAD software and related systems.
- Experience with computer maintenance and repair for CAD workstations and peripherals; solid understanding of operating systems and CAD environment compatibility.
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar, including 2D and 3D drafting and modeling.
- Demonstrated experience as a CAD Technician or similar; senior-level experience in consulting, engineering, or construction is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, accurate technical documentation, and ability to interpret technical specifications and plans.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, including cross-functional work and mentoring junior staff.
- Relevant technical diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Familiarity with UAE building standards, regulatory requirements, or local authority submission processes is an advantage.
- Ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and maintain organized digital drawing archives.
