Senior BI Analyst

Job purpose

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards, performance reports, and KPI scorecards.
• Prepare recurring KPI reports, performance dashboards, and management reports on schedule.
• Create clear visualizations that help users understand business trends and results.
• Automate recurring reports and workflows to reduce manual effort and improve timely delivery.
• Develop reusable datasets and standardized reports for business users.
• Support business users in independently accessing and using approved information.
• Validate data, calculations, and KPI results before publishing reports.
• Investigate, resolve, or escalate data quality issues and maintain accuracy and consistency.
• Monitor dashboard performance, data refreshes, and report availability.
• Respond to reporting requests, troubleshoot dashboard issues, and help users interpret BI outputs.
• Document reports, KPI definitions, and calculation rules in line with reporting and data governance standards.
• Continuously improve reporting quality, data visualization, and automation processes while keeping current with BI tools and practices.

Required qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, MIS, Computer Engineering, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 4 years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, reporting, dashboard development, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience developing dashboards, reports, KPI scorecards, and data visualizations using BI platforms.
• Experience in retail, e-commerce, consumer goods, or a similarly data-driven industry is preferred.

Skills and competencies

• Proficiency in BI and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Strong analytical skills and experience in reporting and KPI development.
• Ability to design clear, intuitive, user-friendly dashboards.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
• Effective communication and presentation skills, including explaining findings to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple reporting requests.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate across business functions.
