Essential duties
- Translate Finance stakeholder needs into functional and data requirements, business rules, report specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Design and maintain Finance dashboards, published data sources, BI data models, operational reports, and self-service analytics.
- Analyze data flows across ERP (SAP), CRM, billing, warehouse, and reporting platforms; reconcile data and investigate discrepancies.
- Optimize dashboard usability, query performance, refresh schedules, metric consistency, and reporting reliability.
- Lead workstreams through solution design, UAT, regression testing, reconciliation, implementation readiness, and sign-off.
- Maintain data definitions, specifications, test evidence, user guides, and governance documentation.
- Support monitoring, exception management, data-quality controls, and financially significant or SOX-governed reporting.
- Collaborate with application, Data Engineering, Data Science, AI, and platform teams, including distributed onsite and offshore resources.
- Evaluate intelligent alerts, natural-language analytics, AI-assisted analysis, and workflow automation opportunities.
Required skills and experience
- Have 7+ years of progressive experience in BI, Finance analytics, reporting, business systems analysis, or enterprise data solutions.
- Have experience with SAP or another enterprise ERP platform and understand Finance processes and cross-system data flows.
- Bring expert-level SQL skills for complex querying, reconciliation, troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and query performance optimization.
- Have hands-on dashboard and BI data-model experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable platforms.
