Senior Azure Data Engineer

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across product, business, architecture, and engineering teams to deliver solutions aligned with Agile roadmaps.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain large-scale data applications, pipelines, cloud solutions, and integrations across relational and non-relational databases.
• Build and optimize Azure, Databricks, Spark, and cloud-native data solutions; design APIs and data services.
• Enhance CI/CD, DevOps, automation, and deployment pipelines; implement monitoring, logging, and observability.
• Apply reliability engineering, fault-tolerant design, deployment planning, and automated testing.
• Work with DaaS and CaaS architectures; manage incidents and resolve production data engineering issues.
• Support quality assurance to maintain platform scalability, security, resilience, and accuracy.

Experience and qualifications

• 6–10 years of data engineering and cloud platform development; at least 6 years with Azure and/or AWS.
• At least 5 years of hands-on Azure Databricks and Apache Kafka experience; strong Spark solution development and optimization experience.
• At least 2 years working with Snowflake Data Cloud.
• Experience with scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, RESTful APIs, integration frameworks, relational and non-relational databases, and modern data storage.
• Strong understanding of distributed processing and big data; experience with Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools; ServiceNow or similar incident-management platform exposure is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
