Lead Data Analyst

About the role

Responsibilities

• Profile and assess healthcare claims, provider, member, finance, vision, and dental datasets; identify anomalies, trends, and data-quality issues and drive resolution.
• Create and maintain source-to-target mappings, business rules, transformations, glossary terms, and enterprise data definitions.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into analytical and technical solutions; manage data intake and onboard datasets and business domains.
• Liaise with business users, subject-matter experts, engineers, and data scientists to clarify requirements and validate solutions.
• Develop complex SQL for extraction, transformation, reconciliation, validation, and reporting; work with large-scale data using Azure Databricks, Spark SQL, and Python.
• Validate engineering data-pipeline outputs and collaborate on scalable, secure, high-performing data solutions.
• Support data governance, quality, and regulatory standards; implement validation frameworks, reconciliation controls, and monitoring.
• Document lineage, transformation logic, metadata, and business rules; support forecasting, reporting, operational analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.

Required qualifications

• Requires 8–12 years in data analysis, healthcare analytics, data engineering, business intelligence, or analytics platforms.
• Requires healthcare data expertise across claims, provider, member, vision, dental, and financial datasets.
• Requires advanced SQL, hands-on Azure Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, cloud platforms, and strong Python skills.
• Requires source-to-target mapping experience and knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, and enterprise analytics.
• Requires Azure cloud experience, root-cause analysis, data validation, business-rule implementation, and issue resolution.
• Requires experience supporting BI, reporting, advanced analytics, or AI/ML initiatives and strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and stakeholder skills.
• Snowflake and cloud data warehouse knowledge is an advantage.
