Senior Auto Body Painter cum Supervisor

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily paint-shop work allocation and job scheduling.
• Perform and oversee surface preparation, sanding, masking, priming, painting, color mixing, polishing, and finishing.
• Refinish luxury and high-end vehicles, including Ferrari, BMW, and Maserati models.
• Match colors using paint codes and professional mixing techniques; inspect preparation and correct paint defects.
• Train and monitor painters and preparation technicians; conduct quality checks and approve completed work.
• Track job progress, meet timelines, and minimize rework and material waste.
• Manage paint materials, consumables, tools, and inventory; maintain spray guns, booth equipment, and filters.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety; coordinate with other workshop teams and keep job and material records.
• Protect and clean customer vehicles before completion and handover.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a senior auto body painter, automotive painter, or paint shop supervisor.
• At least 5 years of senior painter experience and 3 years of supervisory experience.
• Extensive hands-on automotive painting and refinishing experience; luxury vehicle experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of preparation, application, color mixing, and color matching.
• Previous experience supervising painters or preparation technicians.
• Knowledge of automotive paint systems, paint codes, spray equipment, and paint-booth operations.
• Leadership, communication, planning, inventory, cost-control, safety, and problem-solving skills.
