Responsibilities
- Manage daily denting, painting, PPF installation, washing, polishing, and vehicle detailing operations.
- Allocate jobs, supervise technicians, and monitor productivity and turnaround time.
- Ensure quality standards, vehicle protection, and final inspection before delivery.
- Monitor repair estimates, labour costs, material consumption, and departmental expenses; control rework, wastage, and customer vehicle damage.
- Coordinate with service advisors, spare parts, procurement, and other departments.
- Maintain workshop cleanliness, equipment, safety standards, and company-policy compliance.
- Resolve customer complaints and operational issues; report on job progress, productivity, revenue, and pending vehicles.
- Train and supervise staff, ensuring discipline and teamwork.
- Accountable for departmental operations, quality, productivity, cost control, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
Qualifications and experience
- At least 5 years of relevant automotive workshop experience, including 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in denting, painting, PPF, polishing, washing, and detailing operations.
- Luxury and European vehicle experience is preferred.
- Strong leadership, planning, quality-control, and cost-management skills.
- Good communication, reporting, and computer skills.
Performance measures
Performance indicators include departmental revenue and profitability, labour productivity, operational efficiency, timely job completion, quality and reduced rework, material wastage and cost control, customer satisfaction, and staff performance.
