Role Overview

Design and Technical Coordination

• Lead architectural design reviews and coordinate designs for high-rise and large-scale building developments.
• Ensure compliance with project briefs, client requirements, the Saudi Building Code, local regulations, and international standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, schedules, material submittals, shop drawings, and mock-ups.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, façade, interior design, landscape, and infrastructure disciplines.
• Review contractor submissions and provide technical recommendations on constructability and compliance.
• Conduct design reviews, value engineering workshops, and technical coordination meetings.

Construction and Quality

• Monitor architectural construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Inspect architectural works, finishes, fit-out, façade installations, waterproofing, and external works.
• Resolve design conflicts and site-related technical issues.
• Support quality assurance and quality control for architectural works.
• Review material selections, sample approvals, and mock-up installations.

Delivery and Stakeholder Support

• Support authority approvals and liaise with stakeholders on architectural submissions.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, snagging, de-snagging, and project handover.
• Review contractor claims, variations, and architectural change requests.
• Lead progress reviews and provide regular reporting to project management and clients.
• Mentor junior architects, architectural engineers, and site supervision staff.
• Facilitate BIM coordination and clash-resolution workshops.

Qualifications and Experience

• A bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering from a recognized university is required.
• The role requires 15 to 20 years of professional architectural engineering experience.
• At least 10 years of experience on major high-rise and large-scale building developments is required.
• Experience with international consultants, PMCs, developers, and contractors is required.
• Full project lifecycle experience from concept design to handover is required.
• Design management, site supervision, and construction-phase services experience are required.
• Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC experience is highly preferred.

Technical Qualifications

• A master's degree in Architecture, Urban Design, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Professional registration or chartership is preferred, and Saudi Council of Engineers membership is preferred.
• LEED AP, Mostadam, Estidama, or an equivalent sustainability certification is advantageous.
• Knowledge of high-rise construction, architectural detailing, authority approvals, and regulatory compliance is required.
