Senior Appian Developer - Process & Workflow

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Build process models with subprocesses, parallel flows, escalations, timers, exception handling, and multilevel approvals.
• Implement banking case management for account opening, credit approvals, disputes, KYC refresh, and complaints.
• Model business rules and decisions using expression rules and decision tables.
• Design task routing, SLAs, delegation, and maker-checker controls aligned with segregation-of-duties policies.
• Optimize process performance, including memory use, archiving, node counts, activity chaining, and smart-service choices.
• Implement audit trails and process history for compliance and internal audit.
• Write rule test cases and support QA and UAT defect resolution.
• Review peer designs and mentor mid-level developers.

Required qualifications

• At least 10 years of total experience, including at least 6 years of hands-on Appian development.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer certification is mandatory.
• Expertise in Appian process modeling, process variables, smart services, and process reports.
• Strong expression rule, query, and CDT/record type design skills; experience with Appian Process HQ, process mining, or workflow analytics.
• Solid SQL skills, knowledge of transaction and concurrency handling, and understanding of BPMN and banking operational workflows.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Appian Certified Lead Developer, Appian RPA, document generation and e-signature integrations, or experience migrating legacy workflows to Appian are nice to have.

Notice period

• A one-month notice period or immediate availability is requested; immediate joiners are preferred.
