Role overview

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements for onboarding, lending, trade finance, complaints, and KYC/AML case management into Appian architecture.
• Set platform standards, reusable components, naming conventions, and design-review gates.
• Define deployment architecture, including hosting approach, HA/DR, environments, and sizing.
• Design integrations with banking, CRM, document, API, messaging, and identity systems.
• Lead estimation, sprint planning, technical backlog, and input to presales and RFPs.
• Own performance, scalability, audit logging, data retention, and segregation-of-duties requirements.
• Conduct code reviews, remediate Appian Health Check findings, and sign off production readiness.
• Represent the platform in architecture reviews, security assessments, and audits.
• Coach the team and drive adoption of Data Fabric, Process HQ, and AI Skills.

Required experience and qualifications

• 12+ years of total experience, including 7+ years hands-on with Appian.
• At least 3 years in an Appian lead or architect role.
• Appian Certified Lead Developer certification is mandatory.
• Deep expertise in Appian process models, records, SAIL, expression rules, Data Fabric, and security groups.
• Enterprise BPM or low-code architecture experience in a bank or regulated institution.
• Integration design experience with REST/SOAP, Connected Systems, Web APIs, messaging, or file-based integrations.
• Strong RDBMS knowledge, such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MariaDB.
• Appian deployment, DevOps, and release management experience, including compare-and-deploy, CI/CD, and version control.
• Awareness of SAMA, NCA ECC, and PDPL banking regulation and controls.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder-management, and communication skills.

Preferred qualifications

• TOGAF or a cloud architecture certification, Java plug-in development, Appian RPA, Saudi banking project experience, and Arabic/RTL interface delivery are nice to have.
• A one-month notice period or immediate availability is preferred.

Opportunity

• Lead the Appian platform and technical direction for a full delivery team, owning enterprise banking solutions from architecture through go-live and audit.
