About the role

Key responsibilities

• Build Appian Connected Systems, Integration objects, and Web APIs for inbound and outbound services.
• Integrate core banking, CRM, DMS, payments, credit bureau services, and government services through the bank API gateway or ESB.
• Implement authentication using OAuth 2.0, mTLS, API keys, SAML/OIDC SSO, and LDAP/AD group synchronization.
• Develop custom Java plug-ins when out-of-the-box features are insufficient.
• Design resilience using retries, timeouts, idempotency, error queues, and asynchronous Kafka/MQ patterns.
• Handle secure SFTP and bulk-load integrations; implement logging, monitoring, and alerting; support production incidents.
• Produce interface specifications and coordinate downstream system contract changes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of total experience, including 5+ years of Appian integrations; strong enterprise integration or Java background.
• Appian Certified Senior Developer certification is mandatory.
• Expertise in Appian Connected Systems, Integrations, and Web APIs; strong Java 11+, REST/SOAP, JSON/XML, and OpenAPI/WSDL.
• Experience with API gateways and middleware, such as Apigee, Kong, IBM ACE/IIB, or MuleSoft; messaging with Kafka, IBM MQ, or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of banking integration security, encryption, and secret management; strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• One-month notice period or immediate availability preferred.

Preferred experience

• Java or API-platform certification, Spring Boot microservices, open banking (SAMA Open Banking Framework), and Appian RPA are nice to have.
