The role supports accurate financial monitoring and reporting for facility-management contracts and compliance with accounting standards and UAE tax rules.

Accounting and contract finance

  • Manage daily accounting transactions and maintain general-ledger accounts.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and complete month-end and year-end closing.
  • Prepare trial balances, profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash-flow statements; reconcile bank and balance-sheet accounts.
  • Monitor billing, receivables, customer accounts, contract revenue, retentions, and unbilled revenue.
  • Review supplier invoices, purchase orders, expenses, payables, and payment schedules; maintain vendor reconciliations.
  • Prepare contract-wise profitability reports and cost analyses; track manpower, overtime, subcontracting, materials, and equipment costs.
  • Compare actual expenses with budgets, investigate variances, allocate shared costs, and support contract managers with cost-control recommendations.

Budgets, payroll, tax, and audit

  • Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts; forecast cash flow and monitor working capital.
  • Analyze revenue, operating expenses, margins, and contract profitability; identify financial risks and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review payroll entries and employee-cost allocations; reconcile salaries, overtime, allowances, leave, and end-of-service provisions in coordination with HR.
  • Record input and output VAT, review VAT returns and reconciliations, maintain tax invoices, and assist with UAE corporate tax compliance.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits, prepare schedules and supporting documents, and maintain financial controls and approval procedures.
  • Identify accounting discrepancies, recommend process improvements, and comply with company policies and applicable regulations.

Qualifications and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Typically 5–8 years of accounting experience; facility management, property management, construction, or maintenance-services experience is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, general accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Practical knowledge of UAE VAT and corporate tax requirements.
  • Experience using SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP/accounting software.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial reporting.
