Senior Accountant - Ecommerce Company

Overview

📍 Location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

• We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware Accountant (Arabic Speaker) to join our growing e-commerce business in Jeddah.
• This role is ideal for candidates with strong accounting fundamentals and experience in online sales environments.
• 🔹 Role Summary
• The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, proper reconciliation with online marketplaces and payment gateways, and full compliance with Saudi regulations.
• You will work closely with internal teams and external partners, requiring strong communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• 🔹 Key Responsibilities
• Record daily transactions related to online sales, returns, shipping, and platform fees
• Reconcile sales, collections, and commissions across marketplaces and payment gateways
• Manage Accounts Receivable & Payable, including invoicing and vendor payments
• Perform bank and payment gateway reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports (P&L, cash flow, margins)
• Ensure compliance with Saudi VAT and regulatory requirements (ZATCA)
• Communicate with partners and vendors (in Arabic) on reconciliation and tax matters
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Improve internal controls and accounting processes
• Collaborate with operations, marketing, and commercial teams
• Assist external auditors and provide required documentation
• 🔹 Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2–4 years of experience (preferably in e-commerce, retail, or trading)
• Fluent in Arabic (written & spoken); good English skills preferred
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliations
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
• Familiarity with Saudi VAT and compliance requirements
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Background in Saudi-based digital or online businesses
